A delicious and refreshing salad. Perfect for a summer lunch! To save time, I used a box of 5-minute whole wheat couscous. "

Another delicious and easy recipe from Ina! Will definitely add this to the rotation. Also appreciate that it uses ingredients that I already have in my fridge/pantry. "

Delicious! Works better with 16 cups cooked popcorn than 8 cups. "

Yummy! Tastes just like the pudding at the restaurant, and so easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly, using the approximate cup measurements listed, as opposed to the weight measurements for the dry ingredients. "

Reviewed "Mock" Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Mar 18, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Less time consuming to make, and healthier than regular mashed potatoes. I wouldn't necessarily substitute these for real mashed potatoes and cover them in gravy on Thanksgiving Day, but these are still definitely a tasty way to eat your veggies!"

My husband and I loved this soup! Very hearty and healthy. The only I change I made was that I used less salt (I started with 1 tsp. vs 1 tablespoon and added only a few shakes more to the whole pot before serving. Between the salt from the broth, pesto and cheese, I didnt feel it needed any more. Another great recipe from Ina! "

Reviewed Lemon Yogurt Cake

Mar 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

A delicious crowd pleaser! I followed the recipe exactly (minus a few minutes in the oven) and everything came out perfectly. The only thing I'd add to the directions is to remember to sift the confectioner's sugar before mixing it with the lemon juice for the glaze. I forgot to do this and had a few lumps in my glaze. "

Reviewed Spanish Pea Soup with Crispy Ham

Mar 4, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was so delicious and super easy! Using the frozen peas was not only much easier than waiting for split peas to hydrate, and it has a prettier color and a fresher taste than split pea soup. "

Awesome and so quick to make! For an even bigger shortcut, I used a jarred teriyaki sauce (Soy Vay) for both the marinade and the sauce. I have not tried Ree's marinade or sauce. This recipe is a new staple for sure!"

Reviewed Shortbread Cookies

These cookies are absolutely delicious. A few mistakes I made that I will learn from for next time: don't chill the dough longer than the 30 minutes mentioned in the recipe. I refrigerated mine overnight hoping to save time the next day, and the dough was rock hard when I took it out of the fridge and it took forever to soften enough until it was "

Reviewed Shepherd's Pie

Delicious! I made mine with ground turkey and it came out great. I also happened to top this with Ina's basil mashed potatoes recipe because I had some leftover, still mixing in the egg yolk like Alton did, and the combo was so tasty!"

These are amazing! If you are not a huge cheesecake person, I found that the "cheesecake" is not overwhelming. A perfect fall treat!"

May 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Amazing! I followed the recipe exactly. I thought the cupcakes would dry out while cooling in the tins, but they didn't. These will be perfect for my daughter's 2nd birthday party! "

Reviewed Spinach and Bacon Quiche

Feb 29, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

There was so much heavy cream that it seemed to take forever for the eggs to set, to the point that after almost an hour in the oven I actually had to test the temperature with a thermometer to make sure that the creamy egg mixture was safe to eat, and you can definitely get away with less than a full pound of bacon. I will not be making this aga...

Reviewed Brie En Croute

Oct 23, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Just like Paula said in the video, this appetizer has a "wow" factor but the recipe requires very little actual cooking. I also like the savory/sweet flavor combo, and the cinnamon makes this a nice warm appetizer for fall gatherings. I will definitely add this one to my repertoire!
