By some stroke of luck I had every ingredient on hand so the second this episode was done I whipped it up for lunch. So yummy."

I made one loaf and one full muffin pan. I had to use EVOO for the 1c. oil but no noticeable flavor difference. I chopped up 1/2 cup pistachios instead of pecans/walnuts and added 1/2 cup craisins. My toddlers are raving over the muffins and really like finding the craisins inside."

Had this at a girls' night out and had to make it. So good hot with ice cream. My kids didn't eat it, but there's no accounting for taste with them. Too young to appreciate it I guess. "

Made this for dinner tonight with organic flour and berries. Also substituted Splenda in the batter and used sugar-free Smucker's. Whipped my own heavy cream and served with turkey sausage links. Served to my super picky children and non-dieting husband... NEW FAVORITE MEAL:)

p.s. @ Schnooks- Preheating the oven is just to keep...

Another home-run mac-n-cheese recipe from this site. I did Ina Garten's and loved it also. Not sure why my 3 sons have never raved over a mac-n-cheese in their lives that wasn't from a blue box. It kills me since I'm trying to cook with love and provide a more nutritious filling meal to fuel their energetic little bodies with real cheese rather than...

Yuh-um! Best hot out of the oven with some melted icing drizzled on top. I even used Splenda brown sugar and half & half white sugar/Splenda.
Made breakfast for dinner, eggs and bacon then wanted a dessert that matched and just happened to have all the ingredients in my cupboard. Love when that happens.

This took quite a bit of prep and cooking time and multiple bowls and pots to get the job done, but was well worth it all. Very flavorful. My husband and I loved it, as always with Ina's recipes. The kids, however, found it spicy for their bland, nugget eating pallets.
I even omitted the hot chili oil and just used 1/2 tsp chili powder....

Yummy. This was my first pot roast attempt. I made a smaller 2lb one and it was cut flat but I used butcher's twine and it looked beautiful. I also did not have cognac, but the wine was a good quality Pinot Noir and tasted great in and with the sauce. I also did not use celery and could only find whole plum tomatoes not in puree, but when blending...
