Reviewed crispy eggplant and portobello mushroom and cheese sandwiches

Jan 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Easy to make and soooooo delicious! Haven't made a lot of recipes with eggplant, wasn't sure how the texture would be. It was crunchy and so filling! I highly recommend this, you won't even miss the meat! Thanks Giada...you're the best!

SOOOO boring! I thought this looked awesome but it was so bland. We ended up throwing most of it out! In one of the first instances I believe the boxed Mexican rice beats this. I'm gluten free and made lots of other recipes that are SOO much better! Don't waste your time!"

Good recipe but kind of bland. I ended up adding a couple squirts of sriacha after I tasted it. I loved the zucchini in the mix! Not sure if I'll make this again, or if I do add a spicier pepper such as a jalapeno or adobo pepper! Still enjoyed the meal!"

YUMMM!! This was a great recipe! We did make ours with about half of a rotisserie chicken instead of ground beef and it was AMAZING. However, this is definitely a weekend recipe. Time consuming and LOTS of dishes. "

These were AMAZING! I made mine with finely chopped dill pickle slices and a splash of pickle juice. The end result was a hit! The family devoured them in minutes...so make extras!"

Good recipe, but very time consuming. I made it for a Christmas appetizer and spent way much more time than I had expected. From caramelizing the onions to rolling out the dough to assembling each pizza it took over an hour. Then end result was good but Giada has better recipes that are much quicker! Probably won't make again."

Easy and delicious appetizer. Also have served it for lunch with a side salad. I've made it with swiss cheese as well which was equally as delicious! You can also make it the nice before and bake it when ready!"

I halved the recipe...and it was still plenty of food. I added more Frank's to it because my husband and I love spicy food. I also used a yogurt blue cheese dressing to keep the calories down. Will be making this again!"
