YUMMMM! This became an instant favorite with my family. To make it even easier, I used a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. The people that said it lacked flavor must have missed something. People that said it was just too cheesy just don't get that this is a Paula Deen - Southern style casserole.

I made this the other day and made some of the alterations suggested in previous reviews. I added some diced red potatoes to the bottom of the crock pot. This kept my apples from going to mush. I also reduced the broth to 3/4 cup and added a full can of cream of celery and a full can of cream of chicken. The result was pretty good and wasn't bland...

I have cooked these twice and they are GREAT! Of course, I added extra pecans because there can never be too many pecans for everyone in my household.

These are fabulous! I have cooked them a few times and the only thing I changed was to halve or quarter the potatoes so they will cook faster.

As is this recipe came out dry and lacked flavor. I wish I had remembered to look at the reviews for possible alterations and suggestions. If I ever try it again, I will be sure to add more cheese and pepper.
