About Me
I love to cook for me and my honey, family get-togethers, and Christmas with the kids and their kids. I cook Mexican food because that's our family culture. Recently diagnosed with diabetes, I am learning more about nutrition and cooking healthy.
I try to replicate recipes from Food Network with mixed results. I'm a big fan of Guy, Giada and Ina. Love Bobby and Anne's Worst Cooks show. I wish the powers-that-be would bring back Curtis' go home with someone in the grocery store and cook dinner show. Loved it.
I love dogs and baking treats for my 120 lb. Chocolate Lab. I was born and raised in Southern California. My honey and I make our home in Texas. I am a writer by trade, currently working on a screenplay. I blog, watch TV and work at being a suzie. My honey and I have date night where we have a nice meal, watch a movie and share a bag of microwave popcorn.
With 30 plus years in the kitchen, I always thought I could cook, but how wrong I was. I finally decided to take a cooking course because I love to cook and want to be better. That's me.
Favorite Foods
Slow cooker pot roast with carrots and potatoes tops my list of favs. I love sweets like brownies. My own kitchen is the place I most enjoy dining. I am not a big fan of lunch because I need more recipes for sandwiches. Breakfast is wonderful but I really love dinner with a good glass of wine.
