Reviewed Fried Venison Medallions with Feta Dipping Sauce

"Olive oil was too greasy because I couldn't get it up to 350 without a large amount of smoke. The flavor was there but the grease was too heavy. Next time I'll try canola oil or something with a higher flash point. ""

About Me

My name is Ron. I'm not a Formal Chef, just a "want-a-be". I am a Husband of a beautiful woman (inside and out), and a Father of two great Teens. My hobbies include, but not limited to, cooking, fishing, hunting, camping, and anything to do with computers. I like to have fun with family and friends over a carefully prepared and delicious meals and drinks. The Chefs that I admire most are; Paul Prudhomme, Frank Stitt, John Besh, Bobby Flay, Tyler Florence, Steven Raichlen, Chris Schlesinger, Mario Batali, and Emeril Lagasse. I'm in my element when I have a glass of wine in my hand, smooth jazz or blues on the stereo, and I'm in my kitchen or on the grill creating memories! I like to use locally grown ingredients and locally caught sea food. I am crazy about the use of chili peppers in many of my meals. My style is mostly southern and southwest but I adventure into the Mediterranean, South Pacific and Northern Europe at times. World Food with Attitude!
