This was very good. A great one dish meal, and hearty. I hadn't read the other reviews first and mine didn't come out salty, but I used rock sea salt and just measured in my hand, so probably didn't add the full tbsp. I accidentally bought whole tomatoes, but as they cooked I just used a potato masher to break them up. I had a prepackaged organic...

This was ok, but the flavor was a little weird. Could probably tweak this, but it didn't seem worthwhile to work with it again. The pea flavor is just a little odd, and perhaps the lemon too. And the toasted almonds added yet another strange flavor combination. Also seemed strange not to have any garlic. My second serving I skipped the almonds...

It is her aunt, not her mother. She clearly is also a very good cook and they both learned how to cook from their family. Just because Giada is famous doesn't necessarily make her better. Also, rating a recipe before you have actually made it can through off the rating. Please try the recipe and then rate/review.

Reviewed Penne with Spinach Sauce

This was good, but could use some help. I used a 13.25 oz box of rotini. If I had used a whole lb like the recipe calls for, there would not have been enough sauce. Also, the whole spinach leaves didn't wilt very well. I used about 1/2 c of the pasta water and it seemed a little too much. Maybe need to add the pasta water directly to the spin"

Awesome! Better than I expected. Flavors are different enough that it is a unique dish. I love that you can make it and get everything cleaned up while it is cooking for an easy clean up meal, with a cool presentation. It was not dry at all. I am dumbfounded at the people who said it was dry or not good. The side of sauce was not even necess"
