Reviewed Lamb Sliders

Jun 4, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These are very delicious sliders. The first time I decided to make them, I made them with chicken and it was amazing. Then, I made it with ground beef and they were equally great. I can't find ground lamb where I live, but hopefully I'll find lamb. I also made them as regular burgers and I used the Kings Hawiian buns. We loved the sweet buns with "

Reviewed Toasted Pound Cake with Citrus Cream

Jun 4, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a really refreshing dessert. I didn't have honey so I used agave nectar, very good. We loved the whipped cream and the slight tang and fresh flavor it gives the dense pound cake. I forgot the vanilla when I served it, but I put some in the leftover and it was still delicious. Definitely a quick and easy go-to dessert."

Reviewed Brownie Raspberry Trifle

Mar 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

First, I must say that the cooking time is waay off. I used a glass 8 by 8 pan and I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I left it in the oven for about 35 minutes and thought it was done. I let it cool for 15 minutes and I cut a small piece out the corn. It was delicious. But when I started to cut the whole brownie, it was raw in the m"

Shared Recipe Twice Baked Potatoes With Mushrooms and Shrimp

Dec 28, 2012 on Food.com

"This is a recipe that's great to serve to a large group of people. Double or triple the recipe and its awesome for a gathering of friends and family. You can pretty much substitute the mushrooms, shrimp, and bacon for anything else that you like........very versatile.
By the way, this recipe says 0 vegetable oil. You still need the oil, that's jus..."

Reviewed Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

Dec 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a really good recipe. However, the first batch of cookies I made, they were perfect. But the second and third were a little too crispy on the edges. If ur using a small ice cream scoop, I think 8 or 9 minutes would be better. Frosting was perfect. Will definitely make again. "

Reviewed Perfect French Fries

Best homemade fries ever! It takes longer than just throwing the frozen French fries in hot oil, but well worth it. Thanks Ree!"

Reviewed Penne with Beef and Arugula

Jan 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a really good pasta dish!! The spinach added at the last minute made it wilt ever so slightly and it was still crisp and fresh. The steak was soo flavorful and tender. At the time when I made this, I had never tasted balsamic vinegar. It was a really good dressing. The steak would probably be good as a steak sandwich. I will definently m...

Reviewed Peanut Butter Cookies with Blackberry Jam

Jan 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These are the best cookies Ive ever made!!! I used grape jam just because thats wat i had on hand at the moment. They were huge! It was just like eating a peant butter and jelly sandwich. They were so soft in the middle. I will definently make these again. I though they were going to be too rich but they werent at all. I also was skeptical of add...

Reviewed Chicken, Artichoke and Cannellini Bean Spezzatino

Jan 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a really good soup and it made alot. However, the spezzatino came out more orange than red and it wasnt really appealing. It was good though. My mom didnt like the thyme in it cause she though it was too strong. I just think that her taste buds arent use to that kind of thing but she is open to anything i make. Next time I make this soup...

Reviewed Hot Spinach-Artichoke Dip

Jan 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a really good dip. Ive made it like 3 times already. The first time I made them was for a bible study group for my mom. They devoured it. (I think thats how u spell it) I made it a couple of other times and I couldnt stop eating it. I added shrimp the last time. It was a half a pound but a full pound is needed to really taste the shrimp....

Reviewed Cinnamon-Chocolate Fudge

Jan 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This fudge recipe was so good. I made it for the christmas holidays! However, I used milk chocolate chips and it was really good. I wanted to cheat and only had it in the fridge for only an hour and a half. DONT DO THAT!! It was a total mess. I started to cut it with my knife it was pulling. So I stuck it back in the fridge for another half hour ...

Reviewed Peach Cobbler

Nov 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was a big hit. I made it for Thanksgiving and it literally disappeared. I cut a piece for my grandmother with some whipped cream and then i sat down with my baby cousin to feed her and let everyone serve themselves. Like 5-10 minutes later, it was all gone. This recipe turned out exaclty how Paula said. The weight of the peaches sunk ...

Reviewed Red Velvet Swirl Brownies

Nov 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

MickTripp, ur right about the center of the brownies. I did wat u said and it worked!! I made 3 batches of them and the first batch was still a little gooey. But the second and third were amazing. I dont want to be giving advice to a pro chef but if two people had the same problem, then i really think u should add what MickTripp said cause that w...

Reviewed Orange Beef Strips with Orange Dipping Sauce

Nov 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These beef strips were so good! However i dont know why Paula calls it "Orange Beef Strips w/ Orange Dipping Sauce" when there is no orange flavor in the actual beef strips, onlythe dipping sauce. Anyway, they were very good. I used seasoned panko bread crumbs instead and put a little cayenne pepper in the flour. It gave it a little bit of a kick...

Reviewed Short Rib Lasagna Rolls

Nov 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is delicious!! But instead of using short ribs, i used lamb shank i believe. My uncle gave it to me and cooked it just like the short ribs. I loved the flavor but there was much more fat on them than the short ribs so it was a bit more time consuming but defininetly worth it! Like i said when i reviewed the roasted apple pies with whi...

Reviewed Roasted Apple Pies with Whipped Cream

Nov 15, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is amazing! Although instead of roasting the apples, I sort of caramelized them in brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. I think when u do that, u can still taste the feshness of the apples and its quicker! I'm gonna make this again soon but I'm gonna roast them next time and I might use vanilla ice cream instead. Some may disagree but I...
